My interview with Milton Thompson about his newly published book was engaging. We openly swapped opinions on race on his last day as Clinton Community School District’s Interim Administrator.

He pointed out issues brought about by economic disparity and unbalanced opportunities. The average household income of a persons of color is $24,400 compared to a white households at $44,600. Thompson emphasized the book steers away from statistics and is full of personal experiences and observations.
