Over the past month, Brodhead High School band students were busy preparing for their annual holiday concert, which had a special meaning this year.

When the performance was delivered last week, audiences heard one of their selections which portrays homelessness and the extra struggles during the holiday season.

Senior band member, Cora Hafen collected loose change in a “It Makes Cents To Give” drive, which ran from Nov. 29 to Dec. 10.
