Albany, WI – Kirby H. Kauk, age 56, passed away unexpectedly while at his home on November 19, 2024.
Kirby was born on October 2, 1968 in Monroe, WI the son of Richard and Katherine (Webster) Kauk.  Kirby married the love of his life, Debra Lahey on October 4, 1997 at the Monroe Arts Center in Monroe, WI.  She preceded him in death on March 19, 2023.
Kirby loved hunting, especially deer hunting.  He enjoyed both bow and gun seasons.  He played baseball and softball for many years. He participated in co-ed softball, slow pitch softball and fast pitch softball. Kirby also wrestled in high school and was a state qualifier his last year.
Kirby ran and operated KK Electric for over 20 years. He enjoyed snowmobiling, NASCAR, wood working, doing handyman work, hunting for night crawlers and going to the Mississippi River and cabin in Iowa. He also enjoyed spending time with children, especially his nieces and nephews.
Kirby is survived by his daughter, Katelyn Kauk (Kendra Love); six siblings, Maribeth (Rick) Schwartzlow, Dan (Deb) Kauk, Richard Jr. (Dick) (Tracy) Kauk, Steven (Becky) Kauk, Shianne (Dan) Broughton and Sherri Kauk;  special friends, Karen Nicodemus (Lance Brewer) and their children and multiple close friends; 5 brother and sister-in-laws, Jeff (Mindy) Lahey, Jim (Ann) Lahey, Denise (Kurt) Adler, Jay (Sarina) Lahey and John (Holly) Lahey; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Kirby was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Katherine and his wife, Debbie in 2023.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be directed to the family.
The family asks for everyone to wear their favorite red outfit or sports clothing on Monday or Tuesday, as that was Kirby’s favorite color.
A public visitation with viewing will take place at the Albany Lions Club on Monday, November 25, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Kirby will be cremated Monday night and a memorial visitation will also take place at the Albany Lions Club on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.  Memorial services will be at 12:00 PM with burial of cremated remains at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Albany to conclude the day.
