Lady Cardinals knocked from conference title race

On Senior Night, the Brodhead Cardinals (7-11 overall, 6-7 Rock Valley) fell to first-place Big Foot 61-52 in a Rock Valley south matchup last Thursday.

The Chiefs delivered the first blow and went on a 15-6 run to take a 19-10 lead midway through the half. Payton Courier converted inside, and Brooke Wellhausen finished down low to fuel the run. Payton Courier also displayed her shooting ability as she knocked down a three off a screen during the run. Sophia Foster converted on the block off a great look by Payton Courier to cap the blitz.
