Lady Cards fall to Monroe in season opener

The Cardinals (0-1) looked like a young team in their season opener as Monroe cruised to a 64-34 win last Tuesday.

The Cheesemakers seized control from the tip, going on a 16-0 run to go up 18-2 six minutes into the game. Sydney Mathiason sparked the run with a putback, and Lexi Hilliard buried a three to cap the surge.
