Lady Cards suffer first loss

Last Tuesday, just days prior to Thanksgiving, the Brodhead girls’ basketball team traveled to Jefferson High School for their second conference matchup of the 2019 season.  After winning their first two games, the Cards were feeling good as they went into Jefferson.  The Eagles had plans to put a stop to Brodhead’s hot start, however.

The first half was a defensive battle.  Both teams combined for just 21 points before the break, as Jefferson held a slim 11-10 lead going into the second half.
