Brodhead Memorial Public Library policy will no longer require patrons to wear masks but their use will be strongly encouraged.

Beginning immediately, the Brodhead library won’t require patrons to wear masks. Instead, library board members said last week that masks are “highly encouraged and much appreciated to protect children and others who are unable to be vaccinated.”

Before the change, masks were required for anyone 5 years or older.

Staff members will continue to wear masks in the public areas, including the circulation desk. Non-vaccinated staff will need to continue to wear masks in all areas of the library.
