Christ Lutheran Clinton Food Pantry was happy to receive two large food donations from local businesses in November. Town Bank held a food drive Nov. 7 – 12 with employees and customers donating 60 pounds of food. This drive was part of a larger regional Town Bank effort to benefit pantries that are partner agencies of Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin (Feeding America). Scot Forge held an employee Holiday Food Drive Nov. 15 – 22 to benefit Christ Lutheran Clinton Food Pantry. Local employees gave 160 pounds of food during that time.

During November and the first week of December, Christ Lutheran Church also holds their annual “Love Boat” Congregational Food Drive to gather food for the pantry’s Holiday Food Bags, which are given to each client family.

The food from all three drives and the generosity of all who donated is greatly appreciated. “Our pantry has served Clinton for 35 years, and is only possible because of the generosity of our congregation members and local residents and businesses, and our partnerships with Second Harvest and USDA,” says Pantry Director Jenny Ludeman.

Christ Lutheran Clinton Food Pantry is located at 300 High St., Clinton and provides monthly food distributions at 9 a.m. on the third Tuesday of each month, as well as emergency assistance when requested. For more information, phone the church office at (608) 676-4994.
