MICHELLE “SHELLY” ANN AFFOLTER

Janesville – Michelle “Shelly” Ann Affolter, age 70, passed away on December 12, 2022 while at the Janesville Mercy Hospital.
> Shelly was born on December 10, 1952 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Thomas and Martha (Kramer) Gergish.
> Shelly graduated from Brodhead High school in 1971. She spent most of her career helping others find their career while working at the job center. After that she worked at Grainger. She loved warm weather and spending as much time outside in it with her family as she could swimming, boating, camping or just relaxing in the sun getting that perfect tan. Shelly also loved her Chicago Bears. She never missed a game and loved having people over to eat and watch them with her.
> Shelly is survived by her daughter Kaci Affolter, son Dustin ( Destiny) Hanson, daughter Lacey Hanson. Her grandchildren Austin, Blake, Jayden, Devin, Addisyn, Ky’Ayer, De’Kyah and De’Kayvion. A sister Nita O’Leary and her close friend Dinger Rufer.
> Shelly was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Michael Gergish.
> Per Michelle’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials services are pending, please watch for future dates, times and location for those services.
> The DL Newcomer Funeral Home in Brodhead is assisting the family.
