Music in our schools Beth Riesterer

This is my 17th year of teaching. I previously taught at Platteville Middle School and New Glarus Middle School. Jason was the High School Band Director in Brodhead and really liked working in this school district, so when the middle school job opened up, we decided that it would be fun to work together and build a program together in such a wonderful community. This is my 10th year teaching in the Brodhead School District.

I teach fifth- through eighth-grade band and sixth-grade music. I also help out when I can with the high school band. Jason and I have both really enjoyed the team-teaching aspect of our job.

One of my favorite parts of working in Brodhead is having the opportunity to teach with my husband. I believe it has truly made our relationship even stronger. He is an amazing teacher who motivates me to work harder each and every day.
