Nancy M. Blumer, age 84, of Albany, passed away Sept. 21, 2021, while at the Graceland Manor in Monroe, Wisconsin.

Nancy was born Aug. 14, 1937, in Monroe at the Deaconess Hospital as the daughter of Walter and Florence (Seltzer) Hill.

She attended Green County and Albany High School.  She married Johnnie “Jack” Blumer on July 22, 1956, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 21, 1980.

Nancy worked many years on the farm with Jack and later put in more than 30 years at Advance Transformer and later worked in the Albrecht Elementary School cafeteria in Brodhead. Nancy was a member of the Albany and Monroe American Legion Ladies Auxiliary groups.  She loved to go dancing, traveling on bus trips on Van Galder, latch hook, doing puzzles and canning and pickling.

Nancy is survived by her six children, Cheryl (Paul) Miller of Monroe, Jackie Evans (Steve Porter) of Madison, Hattie (Rollin) Klick of Brodhead, Tammy Jo Blumer (Steve McBride) of Albany, LeRoy Blumer of Albany and Beth (Phil) Meier of Monroe; six grandchildren, Russ Evans (Andrea Morrow), Zach and Collin Klick, Kegan Jarosz, Analee Blumer and Kyle Tourdot; a special friend, Bernie Richardson; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack; and four brothers, Ralph Hill, Raymond Hill, Ervin (Jim) Hill and Sonny Hill; and a sister, Martha Rose Hill.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the family in her memory.

Funeral services will be held at the DL Newcomer Funeral Home, 1105 E. Ninth Ave. in Brodhead at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021. A visitation will also be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of services Oct. 2. Burial will conclude at Hillcrest Cemetery in Albany.
