CLINTON – The Clinton Middle School National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) hosted a luncheon for students and staff who are new to the district this year. Seven staff members and 27 students were invited to attend.

The luncheon was held in the middle school library-media center. The NJHS members welcomed the guests and gave a brief description of activities available at Clinton Middle School. They also provided information about groups that students could join.

The NJHS provided pizza from Cougar Lanes, baby carrots and dip, bottled water, “pickle rolls” made by Elyssa Pope, and desserts provided by Pam Welte and Kirstin Holloway, parents of two of the NJHS members.

Cougar Lanes donated a pass for a free game of bowling as a welcome gift. The NJHS is led by advisors Mrs. Cathy Cernek and Ms. Brooke Lyford. Mrs. Rhonda Gilbank assisted with the set-up and clean-up for the luncheon.

NJHS members include: Kelsey Beaumont, Jenna Chrayah, Grace Farrell, Gracey Garner, Jack Henschler, Drew Holloway, Olivia McDonald, Elyssa Pope, Almadelia Rangel, and Hannah Vince.
