KAY STOMPRUDE
Kay E. Stomprude, 89, of Arkdale, passed away surrounded by her loving family and faithful canine companions Sept. 3, 2023, at her home.

Kay, born on Dec. 16, 1933, in Beloit, was the daughter of Fred and Hazel Luerh. She spent her formative years in Beloit and graduated from Beloit Memorial High School in 1951, marking the beginning of her journey toward a life dedicated to service and education.

Kay married Lawrence Stomprude on Oct. 7, 1999, in Janesville. She served as a volunteer firefighter and EMT/instructor for Turtle Township, helping others in times of need. Prior to retiring, she worked for the Clinton School District as a teacher’s aide. Beyond her professional commitments, Kay found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had an appreciation for the outdoors, and enjoyed boating, lakeside adventures and tending to her garden.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Hazel Luerh.

She is survived by her husband, Larry; daughter, Deanna Jordan (John); son, Dean (Sally) Jordan; grandchildren, Mikuel Gasch, Jordan Wehrhahn, Zach Jordan and Isaac Jordan; one great-granddaughter, Leelynn Messel, and stepchildren, Joanne, Jeremy and Matthew Stomprude.

In honoring Kay’s memory, a celebration of her life will be held at a later date. For those wishing to express their condolences and share their memories, Roseberry’s Funeral Home is providing assistance to the family.

Kay touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
