Olga Zavodny, 93, formerly of Brodhead, passed away on Aug. 1, 2022.

She was born on Jan. 9, 1929, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Daniel and Susan (Zeman) Panik.

She graduated from Harrison High School (Chicago) in January 1947. On Nov. 15, 1947, she married Milan Zavodny at Saints Peter and Paul Lutheran Church.

She worked as a secretary for Official Airline Guides in Oak Brook, Ill., and upon retirement they made their home on Decatur Lake in Brodhead a permanent residence.

Olga was preceded in death by her parents; her three brothers, John (Edna) Panik, Steve (Mary) Panik, and Danny Panik; and her beloved husband, Milan Zavodny.  She is survived by her three children, Sandra (John) Pianetto, Milan D. Zavodny, and Douglas (Karen) Zavodny; eight grandchildren, Natalie (John) Walker, Ryan (Becky) Pianetto, Cory Pianetto, David (Penelope) Zavodny, Mark Zavodny, Sarah (David) Brienzo, Matt (Angel) Zavodny, and Blake Zavodny; and 13 great grandchildren.

A funeral service was held Tuesday, Aug. 9, at Saints Peter and Paul Lutheran Church in Riverside, Ill. Burial was at Woodlawn Cemetery (Forest Park, Ill.).
