PAULINE C. OLSON
Pauline was born on October 9, 1926 in Beloit, WI the daughter of Everett and Margaret (Huebbe) Nicholls. She was a WWII bride, as she married Thorvald Olson on August 15, 1944 in Wildwood, NJ before he shipped out for the US Navy.
Pauline was a long time member of the United Methodist Church in Albany. She was active as a lay reader, a Sunday school teacher and a member of the UMC Ladies Aide Society. Pauline made prom dresses as an experienced seamstress, was an avid reader, writer of poetry and artist. Pauline and Thorvald enjoyed traveling together, especially in Europe. Most of all, Pauline enjoyed being involved and helped in the raising of her grandchildren and being a part of their lives.
Pauline is survived by her 3 children, Lawrence (Joy) Olson, Teresa (Keith) Blumer and Cynthia (William) Pryce Alderman; 9 grandchildren, Shellie (Peter) Kappelman, Kim (BJ) Jones, Erik (Kate) Olson, Angela (Jacob) Greving, Michelle (Paul) Ripp, Trent (Krishell) Blumer, Davis (Wendy) Pryce, Danielle (Brian) Venden and Dana (Bill) Bump; 32 great grandchildren; 13 great great grandchildren; 3 siblings, Harold Nicholls, James Nicholls and Dennis (Beverly) Nicholls and many other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Thorvald in 2019; a daughter in infancy, Linda Beth Olson and a sister, Roberta Noggle.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the United Methodist Church of Albany in her memory.
Funeral Services will take place at the United Methodist Church in Albany, 500 Park Street, Albany, WI on Monday, December 18, 2023 at 11:00 AM. A visitation will also take place at the church on Monday from 9:30 AM until the time of services. Burial will conclude at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Albany.
