Pinnacle Dairy has not cleared every hurdle necessary before it can populate the farm on Decatur-Sylvester Road.

Green County Conservationist Todd Jenson said the site has yet to meet the second condition of its waste storage management permit, granted by the county and agreed to by Pinnacle Dairy at a hearing last year.

One of those conditions requires monitoring wells to meet certain levels for five consecutive days. As of last Thursday, that condition had yet to be met on any of the pits, Jenson said.

There are eight monitoring wells at the farm, two at each of the site’s four manure lagoons.
