Rose A. Gestrich, 80

CLINTON- Rose A. Gestrich 80, of Clinton died Monday, Jan. 12, 2015 at Willowfield Nursing Center in Delavan. She was born March 15, 1934 to the late Harold and Alma (Berger) Whitney in Belvidere, Ill.
She married Thomas N. Gestrich Sr. on Aug. 4, 1951 at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Sharon. He preceded her in death on July 11, 2006.   Earlier in life, Rose supported and enjoyed horse shows that her sister and son participated in. She especially loved animals and caring for her pets.   She is survived by her son, Thomas ÒNickÓ (Wendee) Gestrich Jr.; her grandson Scott (Kristen) Gestrich and their three sons, Zachary, Jacob & Ryan; her granddaughter, Ami Gestrich; her nephew, George McIlmurray and his two children, Kathryn & Lauren and her niece Angie Lauer.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Thomas and her sister Nancy McIlmurray.
A Celebration of Life for Rose took place on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015 in the Fellowship Hall at St. PaulÕs Lutheran Church, 210 S. Ringold St., Janesville from 1 to 3 p.m. Please share a memory or a condolence with the Gestrich family on our website.
