BRODHEAD – Sadly, our district has now joined the fraternity of districts that have had to deal with a bomb threat situation in recent years.

We have avoided this for a long time, but situations like these are becoming inevitable for schools.

As with Monroe, Beloit, Brodhead, and now Albany, as well, these hoaxes to get out of school spread like wildfire.

While it was not considered a credible threat, the incident was handled as a serious situation.

In response to the threat, the school district took several measures to insure the safety of the students and staff.  The High School went into a limited lock-down so that a soft search of the areas students had access to could be completed.   Pick up this week’s print edition for full story……..
