Seats on Brodhead City Council wide open. Candidacy papers due today

The City of Brodhead will have a new slate of elected leaders in the spring, with the four incumbents up for re-elections, each filing notice of non-candidacy papers by last week’s Dec. 24 deadline.

Candidacy papers are due at City Hall today at 5 p.m. Candidates for the open seats will be reported in next week’s newspaper.

Mayor Troy Nyman and aldermen Timothy Schadewaldt, Robert Moon and Casey Jones filed notice of non-candidacy papers with the clerk’s office.

Requests for comments from the mayor were not returned prior to deadline.
