Students honor veterans at annual celebration

On Thursday, Nov. 10, students at Albrecht Elementary School carried out their annual Veterans Day celebration.

Following a brief introduction by Principal Dave Novy, Boy Scouts led veterans into the room and to their seats. The event then began with “The Star-Spangled Banner,” performed by the fifth-grade chorus. Four students interpreted the song in American Sign Language. Onnika Williams, president of the elementary school’s student council, led all attendees in the Pledge of Allegiance.
