Kirsten Fish and Abbie Dix team up for a block in a game last week. The Cardinals’ net play has helped them get off to a good start of the conference season, including defeating both Big Foot and Jefferson last week. The girls also won the Sept. 17 Edgerton invite, beating all but one of the six teams they faced. Dix was named MVP of the tournament and Alexis Kammerer was all-tournament.

The Brodhead volleyball team has continued its success through the first half of the 2021 campaign.  After competing in the Janesville Invite and winning their own invite on Sept. 11, the Cardinals are just getting into conference play.  Hoping to compete as one of the top teams in the Rock Valley Conference, the Cards and head coach Erin Kammerer know the importance of these league play matchups.

The Cardinals got off to a solid start in conference play when they played host to the Edgerton Tide on Sept. 9.  It was the first conference matchup of the season and the Cardinals were looking to start out on the right foot.  They did so in the first set, by defeating the Tide 25-20.  Edgerton would quickly respond, however, as the Cards fell 25-21 in the second set, tying things up at 1-1.
