THERESA ANN BERNSTEIN

Theresa Ann Bernstein (nee. Schwoelger)  passed away on  July 2nd, 2025 after a brief fight with Cholangiocarcinoma.  Theresa was born on August 25, 1978 in Lancaster, Wisconsin. She was adopted by David and Antoinette Schwoegler and grew up in Madison, WI.  She graduated from Edgewood High School in 1996.  She spent two years at the University of Memphis and then graduated from UW Madison with a degree in History. Theresa married Peter Bernstein in June, 2000, he was her best friend and love of her life and they enjoyed raising their three children together. They briefly lived in Columbus WI but spent most of their married life in Brodhead. Blue, Jakob and Kingsley were the best thing that ever happened to Theresa and she was so proud of them.

Theresa is survived by her husband Peter, their three children Blue, Jakob and Kingsley, her parents, in-laws Steve and Mary Bernstein, brother in law Andy and sister-in-law  Naomi and beloved nieces L and N,  as well as extended family, her Aunt Rosie and Uncle Jerry, and her cranky chihuahua Mehi.  She was preceded in death by two children in pregnancy, and her grandparents.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
