Turtle Creek Chamber Orchestra performs in summer’s first concert in the park

Community members turned out in droves for the Turtle Creek Chamber Orchestra’s concert at Veterans Park on the evening of Father’s Day, Sunday, June 19th.
“We had 150 programs, and they’re all gone,” said Gregory Roy, the orchestra’s business manager. “This is twice the number we had last year.”
The Turtle Creek Chamber Orchestra is made up on musicians from all over the area, from Milwaukee to Fort Atkinson, Beloit, and Janesville, many of whom are music teachers. One musician, Matt Picard, interrupted the concert to thank the crowd. “It’s great to be back a second time, on this Father’s Day, playing with my father,” he said. His father is also a part of the orchestra. “It’s a great homecoming to be back here.”
