United with ukuleles. Albrecht School music program gets boost

Albrecht Elementary School students are learning to play ukuleles with music teacher Jennifer Perry thanks to a recent donation by the Music Boosters.

As part of Music in our Schools month, Brodhead School District is celebrating its programs by focusing on various components.

At Albrecht Elementary School Jennifer Perry is in her second year as the music teacher. With the help of Music Boosters, she recently equipped her classroom with ukuleles and has been busy teaching students to play.

“I love teaching music because it made a significant impact in my life, and I love to share that alternative means of expression with others,” Perry said. “I also love getting to be artistic and creative on a regular basis with many of the things I do.

“Finally, I love working with so many students because every day is different.”
