VERONICA M. COEHOORN, 83
| Veronica “Ronnie” Coehoorn, 83, of Beloit, died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2016 at Premier Rehab & Skilled Nursing in Beloit. She was born Jan. 13, 1933 in Gayville SD, the daughter of William and Maxine (Simmons) Wagman. Ronnie married Marvin Coehoorn on Feb. 4, 1967 in St. Bridget’s Catholic Church in Loves Park, Ill. He preceded her in death on July 3, 2013. Ronnie graduated from Harlem High School in Loves Park, Ill. class of 1951.
She worked as a secretary and legal secretary in Rockford until her marriage. Ronnie also worked for FritoLay, Rock Co. United Way and the Visiting Nurses Association until her retirement. She was an active parishioner at St. Stephens Catholic Church, and volunteered with the Clinton VFW and as an EMT with the Turtle Township Fire Dept. Ronnie loved to dance and travel with her husband, Marvin. She will be fondly remembered for her caring and generous ways. She is survived by daughter, Kathleen Wagman-Dillard and her son in law Earnest H. Dillard II of Columbus, Ohio; three stepchildren, Linda Raddenbach of Huntington, Ind., Mark (Kathleen) Coehoorn of Shopiere, Wis., and Thomas (Joyce) Coehoorn of Orfordville, Wis.; her brother Francis Wagman (Carol); sisters-in-law Bobbie Lee Wagman and Barb Cook, and a brother-in-law, Richard (Verne) Coehoorn of Hemet, Cal. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, two nieces, Linda Kudrna and Christine (John) Roberts; three nephews, Ron Wagman, Michael Wagman, and her special nephew, Ken (Sandy) Wagman, who was her longtime caregiver; six great-nieces and nephews and six great-great nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Stephanie at Beloit Regional Hospice and Kathy at Premiere Rehab. for the special care they gave Ronnie. Ronnie’s Funeral Mass of Christian Burial was at 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 12 in St. Stephen Catholic Church, 716 Shular Lane, Clinton with Fr. Bill Connell officiating. Friends were received on Sunday in the Brian Mark Funeral Home, 504 Milwaukee Road from 4 – 6 p.m. and again on Monday at the Church from 9 – 9:45 a.m. Interment followed the service in the Clinton Cemetery.
