The Brodhead Cardinals had a pair of crossover Rock Valley Conference matchups on the schedule last week. On Tuesday, Jan. 30, the Cards traveled to take on the East Troy Trojans. Later in the week, Brodhead returned home to play host to the Jefferson Eagles.

While winning is what matters most to the Cards, everyone had their eyes on Brodhead’s leading scorer, Cullen Walker. The Brodhead junior has been a focal point of the varsity team ever since he joined the program as a freshman. Since then, Walker has handled the ball as the team’s point guard, and he plays the role well. In a close game against Jefferson, Walker managed to stamp his name in Brodhead history as he surpassed 1,000 career points.
