Bill was born July 22, 1942 in Monroe, Wisconsin, to Jay M and Anna (Thill) Bussey.
Bill passed away September 28th, 2024. He was raised on a few farms around Avon township, later moving to Madison WI, In his teen years. He worked in a few different occupations before he became involved in building restoration, eventually owning two businesses before retiring. Work was Bill’s passion, he worked very hard. Bill was in the Marine Corps from 1964-1967 and was apart of the Vietnam war. After his service he was released with an honorable discharge from Camp Lejeune, NC.
Bill married Mary Ellen Scheidegger on June 13th 1969. They had a daughter Kimberly Rose, who was born Oct. 14 – died Oct. 16th 1969. They divorced in 1996 and then later lived together from 2006 until he moved to Medina Nursing Facility in Durand, IL, where he stayed for about 6 weeks before his passing.
Bill is survived by two brothers Richard (Kay – deceased) of Monroe, WI and Stuart (Judy) Bussey of Brodhead, his ex- wife Mary of Brodhead, his beloved dog Missy, and many nieces and nephews.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, a sister Janna, a nephew Billy, four half-brothers, Norbert, Roberts, Kenneth, Gary Gilbertson, his ex-wife’s parents, two brother in laws, a sister in law, a nephew and two loving dogs and a kitty.
Bill loved his family and friends. He really liked to fish, take rides to look for deer, turkey and any other animals he could see. Bill loved animals and raising his flowers and garden vegetables. He was a fantastic cook as well as organized and tidy. He kept everything very clean, neat and his automobiles and property was all in great condition.
Bill was truly loved and we will all miss him very much.
Bill was a private person and his wishes were to have no services.
Family will have a private committal service for Bills remains at a later date.
