Young athletes thank community members

The Brodhead Youth Ball Program would like to thank everyone for their time and dedication selling raffle tickets for the 2016 fundraiser.

The program runs on fundraiser funds and volunteer coaches, not tax dollars.  The fundraiser has made possible the following:  new and improved infields, dugout roofs, sod infield, yellow fence capping, fencing, a batting cage and net, a safety net, playground equipment, bleachers, lights for the girls’ diamonds, a drinking fountain, water for each diamond, and new equipment upon request.

Fundraiser money has also helped pay for irrigation at the high school diamonds, which the older leagues use and also helped pay toward building the new concession stand at Legion Park.
