Young Entrepreneur Takes Advantage of City-Wide Garage Sales

BRODHEAD – Nine-year-old Ava Risum used last weekend’s city-wide garage sales event to showcase her up-and-coming lemonade business.

Featuring a special twist on traditional lemonade, Ava’s Lemonade began nearly a year ago after her family purchased a storage building behind Veteran’s Park. Ava saw the new property as an opportunity to sell to park goers during community festivals.
